Julie Johnson - Founder of JJ's Kinderplus
This blog was started to give parents of kindergarten and pre-K children the resources needed to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Julie Johnson (JJ) has been teaching for over 16 years and has taught kindergarten for 11 years. She earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University, San Jose. Her teaching credential was earned at National University. Julie is currently enrolled in a Masters program at Walden University and her focus is on elementary Math and Reading.
Julie is committed to providing resources that will enable parents to help their kids succeed in the first year of school. She believes that when parents are equipped with the right tools and are knowledgeable about what factors influence academic success, they can make a big impact on the success of their kids.
Her teaching experience includes working with bilingual, inner-city and suburban school districts. Stockton USD, Long Beach USD, Oakland USD, and Antioch USD are the organizations where Julie has worked. She as served on the Student Study Team and is currently on the Instructional Leadership Team.
Julie is a wife and mother of two children ages 11 and 9.
